The Basic Features of Filmora Wondershare

Introduction

This tutorial will go over the basic features of Filmora Wondershare. The basic features include how to record, how to import and export, and how to modify clips.

How to Record

First, we will go over how to screen record using Wondershare Filmora 12. What you will first need to do is boot up the Wondershare Filmora 12 program, where you will be met by the startup page. On the startup page, you will see a button called Screen Recorder. This button is what is going to allow you to screen record.

When you click on this button, you will be met with a mini menu. The red button is what you click to start the recording but there are some things you need to know before you click it. To change what you want to record, look for the menu that says full screen. When you click it you will be met with other options besides full screen, which includes custom and targeted windows. When the setting is on full screen, everything on the screen will be recorded. When the setting is on custom screen, a specific part of the screen can be recorded, and if the setting is targeted window, then only a single window will be recorded.

At a time, you may want to use a different microphone or speaker than the one your computer selects for Filmora to use for screen recording. How you can change this is by selecting the menus underneath the speaker icon and microphone icon. To further adjust the settings for Filmora's screen recorder, click the settings menu.

To do a voiceover or record your webcam, click the new project button on the startup screen, and in the project media tab, click the record menu. There you will be able to record your webcam and voice, and you can also screen record from here too. That is it for how to record using Filmora to record.

How to Import and Export

Now let's discuss how to import and export using Filmora Wondershare 12. You really won't be able to get anything done if you do not know how to import your videos, audios, and images into Filmora. To import, first make a new project by clicking the new project button. When you make a new project, you will see a box above the toolbar that says: “Drop your video clips, images, or audio here, or click here to import media." What this means is that you can drag from your files the media you want to upload to Filmora, and drop it in that box, and it will be imported, or you can click the "click here" text and manually select what you want to upload to Filmora. When you do this, your media will appear in the box, and you will need to drag it over to the track area so it can be used.

To export your finished work, click the Export menu that's at the top right. When you do so, you will be met with different options on how you want to save, like whether you want to save it to your computer or upload it to a social media site like YouTube. When you click upload to device, you will be met with different settings that can determine what your video looks like (settings like resolution). When you finally click export, you will find the video in the folder you saved it (which can also be changed in settings). That is all for how to import and export using Filmora Wondershare 12.

How to Modify Clips

The last thing this tutorial will go over is how to modify clips. One way to modify a clip is by splitting, which will allow you to put things in-between a clip or get rid of a part of the clip all together. To do this, move the slider with the scissors over to the area you want to split. Click the scissors to split the clip. If you want to delete a clip, click the backspace button on your keyboard.

Another way to modify a clip is by looking at the menu on the right that you get whenever you click a track. The tabs on the menu will enable you to modify your video’s settings, audio, color, and speed (For pictures only color, and for audios, speed). That is all for how to modify clips.

Summary

What was discussed in this tutorial was how to record, import and export, and modify clips. To record in general, open up your project and click the record drop down menu. To import, drag or manually insert your media into the box above the toolbar, then drag it to the track area. To split a track, click the scissors on the slider on top of the track area, and to delete a track, click the backspace button. Finally, to modify the settings of a track, use the tabs on the menu on the right of the program. That is all for this tutorial and I hope you learned something from it.
